Commercial Art Verses Fine Art
« on: May 16, 2012, 01:23:38 pm »
Have you ever wandered into an art gallery and saw a painting you liked. Most people would look to see who painted it and possibly read about their life history. However; people that go into a card shop and see a card that they like might look to see what company printed it but no one cares about the artist that created it. The company did not do the work, a commercial artist did it. When you work for a company your art is no longer your art. It belongs to the company and only they get the credit for it.

Commercial artists are machines that do only what the bosses want them to do no matter how good their own idea was. The bosses ideas always wins out. I do not like doing commercial art.
